Using Essence Stones is very important for powering up Mythic Hero Gears. Essence stones unlock once you upgrade your Furnace to Level 20. Applying them to your mythic hero gear boosts your heroes’ strengths, strengthening your hero lineup in exploration/Arena. It’s a quick and easy way to make your heroes more powerful to win more PVP and exploration/Arena battles.
To upgrade mythic gears, you can get essence stones from different events and shops. In this guide, I will discuss how to get essence stones quickly and how to use them properly.

Unlocking Essence Stones (Mastery Forging)
To unlock Essence Stones, you must upgrade your Furnace to Level 20. This unlocks the “Mastery Forging” feature and allows you to forge your mythic hero gears to the next level. It will increase the mythic hero gear’s strength and stats.

To use essence stones, all you have to do is go to your heroes tab > Gear > Click On Mythic Gear > Click Mastery Forging > Click Forge (If you have enough essence stones).
Essence Stone requirements for upgrading mythic gear levels: total levels are 20; from level 1 to 10, you will only need essence stones to upgrade mythic gears, and from level 11 to 20, you will also require mythic gears alongside essence stones to upgrade mythic gears to upgrade from level 11 to 20.

How To Get Mythic Hero Gears in Whiteout Survival?
In “Whiteout Survival,” getting Mythic Hero Gears, which are top-notch items for boosting your heroes, involves a mix of strategies and activities within the game:
Arena Shop (Best)
You can earn tokens by fighting in the arena daily. Collect enough of these, and buy a Mythic Hero Gear Chest, in arena shop. Mythic hero gear chest is the only item worth buying in Arena Shop.

Frosty Fortune Event
This special event runs monthly, offering a way to earn Mythic Gear by collecting and using specific event items.
Exploration Battles
After reaching certain milestones in exploration battles, you’re rewarded with Mythic Gear Chests, though it gets tougher as you go higher.
Random Gear Chests
During certain events (there are many events that offer random hero gear chests) or via purchases, you can get chests that might contain Mythic Gear, but it’s a bit of a gamble.
Buy Packs
If you’re okay with spending some money, you can buy chests that contain hero gear, and if you are lucky, you will get mythic hero gear.
Get Essence Stones (Free/Paid)
Essence Stones are a very valuable resource that can increase your mythic gear mastery level making it stronger and increasing its states. You can get essence stones from different sources:
Bear Hunting Event
Bear trap events or bear hunting takes 48 hours to unlock/cool down, and leaders can decide if they want to start the event when unlocked. Make sure you are actively joining this event and ranking higher in damage ranking to get decent rewards that also include essence stones.
Ranking higher in the Bear trap event by dealing more damage to the Bear is not as simple as it sounds; there are many tips and tricks involved to rank higher; you can read my Whiteout Survival Bear Trap guide to deal more damage to the Bear and rank higher.
Frosty Fortune Event
Completing event missions Treasure Hunting Drills during this event earns you points that can be used to unlock chests containing Thorn of Enigma (Flowers), which in turn can be used to purchase Essence Stones. You can also use these flowers to but other valuable resources, but I recommend buying essence stones.
Tundra Trading Station
Many older state players wait for this event so they can trade their extra hero shards for resources they need. This event is very important if you have a lot of unused mythic hero shards; most probably, you will have Molly’s shards and Gina’s shards because these heroes reach max level before any other heroes.
I recommend trading them for essence stones to strengthen your hero’s mythic gear.
Mystery Shop
Mystery Badges, obtained from daily missions (Painfully low) or purchased packs, can be used in the Mystery Shop to buy Essence Stones. Well, this is not the best way to get essence stones quickly; if you are patient and complete daily tasks every day, soon you will have enough mystery badges to buy 10 essence stones.
Foundry Shop
Arsenal Tokens earned through Foundry Battles can be exchanged for Essence Stones in this shop. Make sure you join the Foundry event, and most importantly, your alliance wins the event so you can get more arsenal tokens.
This event is known to dry out your resources, so make sure you are spending too many resources to win the “Foundry Battle,” which doesn’t offer handsome rewards. Even if you lose or don’t join, you can get enough arsenal tokens to buy some essence stones. I will recommend joining the event for maximized rewards.
VIP Shop
At VIP level 11, you can purchase Essence Stones with gems. I didn’t want to mention this because you are probably not at VIP level 11, but to make this guide for all the players of Whiteout Survival, I am mentioning this as well.
If you like to spend money on games, then you should consider reaching level 11; it unlocks essence stones at a 40% discount, which is an excellent deal, considering you will have a lot of gems by the time you reach level 11.
Buying Packs
If you are okay with spending money then you can speed up your growth and maximize the power level of mythic gear sooner than other players.
I will recommend buying the following packs to get essence stones.

- Custom chests Packs
Tips For Maximizing Use Of Essence Stones
- Prioritize upgrading gear for heroes you frequently use or those that play critical roles in your strategy. Try to upgrade your Top 3 Or Top 5 first; these are the most important, and, they are used in various situations like PVP or events where we fight other players and exploration/Arena battles.
- Keep an eye on event schedules to participate in Bear Hunting and Frosty Fortune events for Essence Stone opportunities.
- Manage your resources wisely; while acquiring Essence Stones is crucial, balancing your expenditure on other upgrades and essentials is equally important.
TIP: I recommend using essence stones when there is an active event that rewards different valuable items, including essence stones whenever you use essence stones. To get the most out of the essence stones, you can wait for those events; if you’re going to war, don’t wait and use them as soon as possible.
