The most uncomfortable I felt in whiteout survival was when I ran out of gems when I just started playing the game. So, now I make sure I spend gems wisely and gain more gems by following the list below, which helps me never run out of gems. Now, you can also follow it to never run out of gems and use gems wisely.

Get More Gems In Whiteout Survival
You can get gems by performing different tasks in whiteout Survival. On average, by performing the following tasks, you get 2000+ gems daily and per week 20,000 gems (This is the lowest estimate; you can get way more than that, because I get to 50,000+ gems in F2P within days).
These different tasks will offer more or fewer gems; even if they offer fewer gems, they still matter because every gem counts.
- Turn On Auto Join
- Hunt Polar Terror
- Complete Daily Missions To Open First Chest
- Complete Chapter Missions (Beginners)
- Suggestion Box: Reply To SOS
- Rank higher In Arena
- Complete Surveys (If Available)

Turn Auto Join On
Whenever you are going to close the game, make sure you turn on auto joining in the alliance war tab to join rallies of your fellow members. It will automatically join rallies, and many successful rallies give out Gems as rewards.
To turn on auto-join:
- Click Alliance Icon
- Click On War
- Click On Auto Join at the bottom
- Choose All Troops OR Use Custom Formation by clicking on Gear Sign
This is a very effective way to gain more gems and other valuable resources to complete different tasks and event tasks that give out more gems.
- Gems Gain: 100+
Hunt Polar Terror
Hunt Polar Terror by making rallies; after each successful hunt, you get the gems as rewards. TIP: I will suggest hunting polar terrors when there is an event that also gives out rewards for hunting Polar Terror; that way you can almost triple your gems gain.
- Gems Gain: 35 Each, everyday gems average 100+ (Based On Polar Terror Level and Game Algorithm, sometimes it doesn’t give out the gems)
Complete Daily Missions To Open First Chest
It doesn’t offer much, but every gem counts, and make sure you complete the daily mission to open this first chest; at the beginning of the game, the gem count will be less, but it will increase as you progress your furnace level.
- Gems Gain: 50 – 200 (Based On furnace Level)
Complete Chapter Missions (Beginners)
If you are a beginner, then you will be completing chapter missions; make sure you complete them and prioritize chapter missions to gain more gems. If you are a beginner or advanced player, you can benefit from my In-Depth “Whiteout Survival Guide.”
- Gems Gain: 20 Gems On Each Mission In a Chapter
Suggestion Box: Reply To SOS
Go to the suggestion box in SOS, and many of your villagers will contact you with the problem they face in the city or ask for permission. If you made the best decision and that sits well with your survivors, your public Opinion will go up, and you will also get a reward of Gems, and the next day, you will be rewarded with gems if your public opinion rating is above 90%.
- Gems Gain: When You Respond 40 Gems, When Survivor Reply 60 Gems (Based on your choice. If you chose the wrong option that didn’t sit well with survivors, you will lose public opinion)
Rank Higher In Arena
Arena is an excellent source of gems; ranking higher in Arena will reward you with gems every day. I will recommend completing Arena challenges every day, and for this purpose, I wrote a complete guide on Arena to rank higher.
- Gems Gain: Daily, 100 to 1500 Gems, And Season End Rewards after 7 days, 200 to 10,000 gems. (Based on your ranking in the arena)
Complete Surveys (If Available)
Sometimes, Whiteout Survival asks players to complete surveys to improve the game, and in return, players get gems as a reward. I would recommend taking the surveys because it will not only improve the game but also reward you with gems.
- Gems Gain: 1000+ gems
Follow Whiteout Survival On Facebook Or Join Discord
If you follow Whiteout Survival on Facebook or join Discord, you will get a reward of a decent amount of Gems. Following social media will also keep you updated with the latest updates and news.
- Gems Gain: 500 gems
Link Your Account with Your Social Media Account
If you link your social media, like Facebook or your Google account, to the game, it will reward you with a decent amount of gems; if you are a beginner, this is a must-do for you to save your progress and also for an early boost.
- Gems Gain: 1000 gems
Reach Higher Target Points Of Any Event For Rewards
You might not have understood it from reading the heading; let me make it simple for you by explaining it with a screenshot. In almost every event, you will have to reach a certain target point to claim the rewards it offers.
Make sure you atleast get to the points where you can claim gems with other valuable items.
- Gems Gain: 1000 to 5000+ (Depends On The Event)
Claim Alliance Gifts
Alliance gifts in alliance chests are also rewarded with gems, not all of them, but you receive a decent amount every day if you are in an active alliance. I will recommend joining the top 5 alliance because you will find more competitive players/big spenders there.
- Gem Gain: 100+ (Depends On The Alliance’s activity)
Join Alliance Events
Many alliance events reward gems; make sure you stay active and join almost every alliance event you can.
- Gems Gain: 1000 – 5000+ (Depends On The Alliance Event)
Alliance Tech Contribution Reward
In the alliance tab, there is an option to contribute in tech, and the more you contribute, the higher your contribution ranking will be. If you rank higher, you will get a decent amount of gems every day based on your ranking.
- For Better Ranking – Turn On Notification – Turn on the in-game notification for tech contribution and contribute as soon as you see the notification; that way, you will rank higher and be rewarded 300 gems every day and 1500 gems every week.
This is what most players do to get a higher ranking; some also contribute with gems. Those are top players, and they are spending money; in that case, you can’t do anything and focus on other resources to get gems.
- Gems Gain: Daily, 50 to 300 (based on ranking) And Weekly, 250 to 1500 (based on ranking)
Claim Alliance Shares (Chests) In Pet Building/Beast Cage (If Unlocked)
If your state has progressed enough, then you might have unlocked this building; if yes, then keep reading or move to the next heading.
Go to the pet building > Click Adventure Icon > Ally Treasure and Claim your 5 chests.
If you are lucky, you will be rewarded with a decent amount of gems or other resources related to beasts.
- Gems Gain: 100 To 500 (Depends On the Luck)
Deposit Gems In Bank
At the beginning of the game, I used to deposit gems in the bank to get a profit, but as the state progressed, I stopped doing that because of many other resources for gems.
If you are not spending actively, then you can deposit your gems in the bank. The bank is located in the Deals tab.
NOTE: There is a limit to the gem deposit based on your furnace level; the higher the level, the higher the deposit.
You get the following percentage:
- Deposit Period 1 Day = 5% Daily
- Deposit Period 7 Days = 0.7% Daily
- Deposit Period 15 Days = 1.3% Daily
- Deposit Period 30 Days = 1.6% Daily

Complete Monument Missions
Monument missions consist of personal mission alliance missions and state missions. If your state and alliance are active then you will gain the most out of the monument missions and gain a lot of gems. In my experience, almost every state is active because of the excellent mechanics of Whiteout Survival.
- Gems Gain: 1000 - 10,000 (Based On Alliance, personal and State’s Achievements)
Must Buy Packs
Some packs are a must-buy for beginners. It is not like the game forces you to buy those packs, but many top players recommend buying those. Even if you are F2P, you should buy these packs so you can stay relevant in the game and enjoy it properly.

- Construction Queue Pack (High Priority) (If you don’t buy this pack, then you will spend 1000 gems on the construction queue to unlock for 2 days)

Growth Fund

Best Way To Spend Gems In Whiteout Survival
Getting gems in Whiteout Survival is easy, but spending Gems wisely will be a little tricky, and many players will have their own point of view on the topic. As I mentioned in my other games guide, I only talk about facts and numbers to help my fellow players.
I am both a Pay To Win player and a F2P player, So I am better equipped to answer this most-asked question.
Let’s talk about the main component of the game where we can spend gems, and after that, we will prioritize the gems spent on each of them.
- Boosters For Troops And Gathering Resources
- VIP Shop
- VIP Time To use VIP Benefits
- For Troops Recall and Speedup In PVP
- Construction queue
- Use As Speedups At The Beginning Of the Game
Boosters For Troops And Gathering Resources
For Troops
You can buy boosters for your troops like attack, lethality, defense, lower enemy defense, and lower enemy attack. I will recommend buying 10% boosters for 2000 gems.
Reasons to use boosters are to join bear and alliance events where we fight other players with maximum power. By spending these gems, you can get the most out of these events, and believe me, it will be worth spending on these boosters.
For Resource Gathering
You can increase your resource-gathering speed by buying this Gathering Speed booster for 250 gems. I like spending my gems on these boosters because of their importance.
VIP Shop
Here in the VIP Shop, I spend most of my gems on speedups, necessary shards, skill manuals, Chief Stamina, and Advanced Teleporter. This shop offers up to 70% off on items, which makes it the best shop to spend gems.
To spend gems here, you will have to unlock your VIP levels, which you can unlock by getting VIP XP from buying packs or buying in shops like Nomadic Merchant. You can also buy VIP XP in the VIP tab by clicking on the plus sign.

VIP Time To use VIP Benefits
Each VIP level offers different benefits; even if you are on VIP level 12, you will still need to buy VIP time to use these benefits. And you can use your diamonds to buy this VIP time if you don’t want to buy the Ultra Value Monthly Card Packs.
- For 24 hours - 1000 Gems
- For 7 Days - 3000 Gems
- For 30 days - 10,000 Gems (Recommended If you are on a higher VIP Level)
For Troops Recall AND March Accelerators In PVP
When we are fighting enemies, using Recall and March Accelerators is a must, so if you are out of these items, you should use gems for these items to avoid severe damage to your city.
I mostly save my gems for PVP situations, and every player should have gems available for PVP.
- March Accelerators 25% and 50%: 400 and 2000 Gems
- Recall: 800 Gems
Construction Queue
If you haven’t permanently unlocked the construction queue you will be given an option to unlock the Construction queue for 2 days for 1000 gems. This will be very helpful for your growth. I will recommend buying the pack, but if you are strictly a F2P player, then you can buy 1000 gems for 2 days.
Use As Speedups At The Beginning Of the Game
You can use the gems as speedups at the beginning of the game to boost your growth. I did it to boost my city, and it was very helpful.
