How do you get more steel in whiteout survival? – Use Steel Properly
Most players, especially F2P players, often run out of steel. There are 2 ways to get the steel: one is getting it for free in idle income and exploration battle, and another is getting it from buying packs.
Get Steel For Free
To get the steel for free in whiteout survival:
- Go To Exploration, Collect Idle Income by clicking on the chest
- Complete Intel Exploration Missions
- Fight exploration battles.
With every exploration battle won, you will receive rewards, which will also include steel. Steel’s quantity may vary in exploration battle rewards and Steel idle income. As you upgrade your furnace level, buildings, and research technology, you can increase the quantity of Steel in idle income and rewards.

Increase The Amount Of Steel Exploration Idle income And Battles (Tips, F2P)
You already know you can get the steel for free from Exploration, idle income, and exploration battles. Here, I will teach you how to increase the quantity of Steel you get from the Idle Income.

Maximize Steel Idle Income
I will guide you on how you can increase the quantity of Steel in idle income. We want to make sure we always collect the Steel Isle Income before 7 hours.
- Make sure you are upgrading buildings and furnace levels, which will increase the amount of Steel you get within 7 hours.
- turning on the notification “Resource Production.”
Click Profile Pic > Settings > Notification > Resource Production. It will notify you when work and exploration idle income is maxed. If the notification is On and you are still not being notified, then turn on the game notification in the mobile setting.
- Make a habit of collecting Steel from idle income while closing the game.
NOTE: As you grow your city and clear exploration stages, you will get more steel in rewards.
Getting Steel By Buying Packs – Packs Guide
At the beginning of the game and later in the game, almost all the resources have special packs that offer better value for money.
But Steel doesn’t get special packs, and there are only 2 packs available to buy steel.
- Regular Steel Pack In Top Up Center – Available from the start

- Weekly Benefit Card In DEALS: It will not be available at the beginning of the game; it will be added later.

Which One To Buy?
- Regular Pack (Beginning): If you are playing Pay To Win, you will need to buy the regular pack at the beginning of the game whenever you need to boost your city’s growth.
- When the Weekly Benefit Card is available later in the game, you can buy it for better value for money.

Don’t Waste a Brick: Utilize Steel Usage
In the beginning days of the whiteout survival, prioritize upgrading furniture that uses steel in shelters and resource output.
Why? Because this is the most important to complete to increase resource output and survivor mood. You will never run out of these resources.
- In shelters, the Max Furniture Upgrade is 20.
- Also, In Resource Output, the Max Furniture upgrade is 20.
When you have upgraded all the furniture that uses steel, you can focus on researching technologies.
NOTE: As you grow in power and progress your city, you will not run out of steel; in the beginning, we struggle with steel; after that, you will have steel in millions.
