In Whiteout Survival, the rally leader’s (Rally Captain) heroes are super important. They bring special skills that make the whole rally stronger in attack and lethality. If you join a rally (Rally member), only the best skill of your main hero helps out. So, picking the right heroes for the leader and the team is key to a powerful rally.
While playing Whiteout Survival for months, I have used this feature so many times and learned many tips and tricks along the way. Once (At the beginning of the game) I lost to a weaker player because I joined a rally of a player that was on a lower Furnace level than me and the enemy.
Let’s read a more detailed rally guide below
Whiteout Survival Rally – In-Depth Guide
Follow this guide and you will have an advantage over other players, and it will minimize the loss of troops in war-like (PVP) situations.
Why Rallies Are Important?
Rallies are important in PVE (Player vs. environment) and PVP, like hunting polar terror, fighting enemies, and Bear Event. The most important part is PVP, where you have to think strategically and make sure your rally is powerful enough to take on powerful players and also avoid insane troop loss.

Things To Consider To Make Strong Rallies
Make sure you are aware of these basics to make powerful rallies.
Rally Leaders/Captain
The rally leader is super important. They need to hold a rally with their best heroes. Why? Because all the skills of these three heroes will kick in to boost the rally. This means stronger attacks and better buffs for everyone in the rally. Strong heroes’ skills make strong rallies, which will result in fewer losses (when you attack a player, even if you win, you still get troop loss).
So, always join a strong rally held by a player with strong heroes.
Rally Members
Now, for those joining the rally, it’s a bit different. Only the main skill of their top heroes might (I said might because this is automatic) add extra power to the rally. But here’s the catch – only the four highest-level main skills from all the participants’ heroes get picked. So, choose wisely!
Mix it Up
Having a variety of these top heroes in your rally team can really turn the tide. I always enjoy the PVP situations where we have to make a rally against strong players; with this knowledge, you can have an advantage against these strong players.
Remember, the right mix of heroes and skills can make your rally a smashing success. It’s all about teamwork and playing to each hero’s strengths.
Upgrade Troops and Heroes
To make strong rallies, you will need to upgrade your troops and heroes. Make sure you don’t forget the battle research in the tech research building, ascending your heroes, upgrading their hero gears and, most importantly, chief gears.
For this purpose, you can read the following guides I have written to help you:
All of these upgrades play their part in making a strong rally, and you will have a higher chance of winning the rally attack.
The person who makes the rally will be the rally captain or rally leader, and everyone will use the rally captain’s stat bonus and hero power. So make sure the one who holds the rally is the strongest among your Alliance. It will minimize the loss and increase the chances of winning.
Increase Rally Capacity
Increasing your rally capacity is very important, increasing the chance of winning against powerful players. To increase rally capacity, upgrade the followings.
- Upgrade Furnace Level
- Upgrade Command Centre
- Research Technologies Related To Rally Capacity
Best Heroes For Rally (Attack and Defense)
Whiteout Survival Players hold rallies to attack a city or facility and defensive rallies to garrison in a facility or castle. Both rallies require different heroes to make it successful. Let’s get into it.
The rally is joined by two types of players: 1 the rally captain/leader who holds the rally, and the others are rally members; both should choose different heroes to maximize the attack.
1. For Rally Leaders (Attacking and Defending)
Attacking Rallies
Heroes like Mia or Molly are recommended for attacking rallies due to their capabilities to enhance attack stats or provide significant damage output.
Defensive Rallies
For defending, especially when garrisoning in facilities or castles, heroes such as Logan, Greg, or Sergey are preferred. These heroes are ideal due to their defensive buffs and abilities that can strengthen the rally’s resilience against attacks.
2. For Rally Members (Attacking and Defending)
Joining Attack Rallies
When joining an attack rally, using heroes like Jessie as the first hero is advised. Jessie’s skills or buffs likely complement offensive strategies, enhancing the rally’s overall attack potency.
Joining Defense Rallies
In the context of defense, Patrick is suggested as the first hero for members joining a defensive rally. His abilities presumably offer defensive benefits or other supports that bolster the defense of the rally.
Note:
It’s important to note that the effectiveness of these heroes can also depend on the specific stats and skills they bring to the rally.
Stats play a crucial role in determining the outcome of battles, influenced by factors such as troop levels, hero tiers, gear, and specific abilities or buffs provided by heroes. The right combination of attack, defense, health, and special abilities can significantly increase the effectiveness of the rally.
Who Should Hold Rally?
As I mentioned before, the strongest player in your alliance should hold the rally because the strong player will become the rally captain, and the rally members and troops will use that player’s stat bonus and hero power.
This is a crucial part; if you follow this, you will not lose the rally attack.
Note: Keep an eye on the player you are attacking, and don’t go offline because sometimes allies of enemy players reinforce him with more troops. In that case, send a scout and decide whether to hold the rally or cancel it to avoid losses.
Once, my team member called the rally and went offline, and the enemy player got reinforcement; we asked the player to cancel the rally, but there was no response; well, we lost and also lost many troops, which was very painful.
