Troops are one of the most important parts of Whiteout Survival. You must have a lot of troops to complete different tasks and to defend against players or attack players for resources and points.
In this guide, I will discuss how you can maximize the growth of Whiteout Survival troops and their power. I will share my experience, tips, and tricks I learned from playing this game for a long time. I played Pay To Win and F2P in Whiteout Survival; I am well qualified to guide you on Whiteout survival troops.
Let’s discuss what to focus on and how to get powerful Whiteout Survival troops.
Whiteout Survival Troops – A Complete Guide For More Troops And Power
If you want to make your troops more powerful and win almost all the defensive battles, follow this guide.
- Training Troops Or Promoting New Troops
- Make Sure Troop Are Being Trained All The Time
- Unlocking Different Tier Troops (Table)
- Reach Level 7 to 10 Troops
- Reach Furnace Level 25 or 30
- Focus On Battle Research
- Focus On Hero’s Expedition Skills And Gears
- Upgrade Chief Gears
Training Troops Or Promoting New Troops?
This is a very popular and interesting question, and different players will give different advice, but I will share facts with you from my experience.
Training New Troops VS Promoting Troops
The short answer is, “Promote Old Troops first, “ then focus on training new troops. Why? It takes less time to promote old troops to the latest troops, and you will have the latest troops in a short time. (This is what top players do)
The latest troops are very important, and you should not underestimate their importance.
Training new troops and ignoring old troops will complicate battles for you and disorganize the troops’ formations. So, it is better to promote them, and you will be able to send strong and reliable rallies.
Make Sure Troops Are Being Trained All The Time
Whenever you log in to the game, make sure your troops are being trained. There is no limit to the number of troops you can have; you can have millions of troops.
At the beginning of the game, I was mistaken that there was a limit and didn’t train from the beginning, which is a very serious mistake in a game like Whiteout Survival.
NOTE: You can increase the training capacity by 200% with 3000 gems in the City Bonus’s Growth tab. It will train more troops but also add up the time. To lower the time, do tech research in the research center.
Turn on notification Growth; it will notify you when training is completed, and you can start training again.
Unlocking Different Tier Troops (Table)
Here’s a table detailing the unlock levels for different troops in Whiteout Survival, corresponding to the Furnace level upgrades:
Furnace Level | Troop Unlocks |
---|---|
2 | Unlocks Hunter’s Hut (Basic Troop Training) |
3 | Unlocks Coal Mine |
4 | Unlocks Shelter 3, Clinic, Explorer’s Cabin, Hero Hall |
5 | Unlocks Shelter 4, Iron Mine |
9 | Unlocks Infantry Camp, Lancer Camp, |
11 | Unlocks Tier 4 Troops |
13 | Unlocks Tier 5 Troops |
16 | Unlocks Tier 6 Troops |
19 | Unlocks Tier 7 Troops |
22 | Unlocks Tier 8 Troops |
26 | Unlocks Tier 9 Troops |
30 | Unlocks Tier 10 Troops |
Once the Furnace reaches level 30, Fire Crystal upgrades become available, allowing the training of Fire Crystal troops which are stronger and come with additional abilities when you reach this level make sure you get to Fire Crystal Level 3 As Soon As Possible for better strategic advantage among your state.
Reach Tier 9 to 10 Troops
Before going wild on the troops, I suggest upgrading the furnace level to 30 or at least 25. A higher furnace level unlocks higher-level troops, and higher-level troops are more powerful and have extra skills (Level 9 To Level 10 Troops), which is super helpful for attacking and defending.
Reach Furnace Level 25 or 30 (Troops And Rally capacity)
Reach level 30 ASAP, or at least level 25, to unlock level 9 troops. Furnace 25 will be a huge boost to your power, and the next boost will be level 30, which will unlock level 10 troops and troop-related research in the research center.
A higher Furnace level will increase the capacity of your rally and deployment, allowing you to attack with more troops.
Focus On Battle Research
Battle Research in the research center is crucial for your troops’ power. I focus more on battle research. Many players focus more on the Economy and Growth research and ignore the Battle research, which is not good in the beginning days of state when everybody gets into fights because there is no proper power structure.
I believe, “Why do you work for resources if you can’t protect them?” if we are not powerful enough in a survival game like Whiteout Survival, your resources will be taken, and frequent attacks will weaken you even more.
So, ensure you focus on the Battle research; this is the best approach.
If you are a beginner or advanced player looking for an in-depth guide to power up fast, read my latest blog on Whiteout Survival Guide.
Focus On Hero’s Expedition Skills And Gears
Hero’s overall strength affects troops’ power and ability to win against attacks, but Hero’s expedition skills and Hero Gears directly affect troops’ power, resulting in more wins in the game.
Make sure you are upgrading expedition skills and Gears to win battles or defend against strong players.
Upgrade Chief Gears And Charms
You unlock chief gears and Charms on levels 22 (Chief Gear) and 25 (Chief Charm), which are very important to make your troops more powerful. It increases troops’ attacks and lethality from 9% to 85%, a huge boost for troops. As you upgrade chief gears, you make your troops more powerful and unbeatable.
Tips To Save Troops (PVP)
Troops are very important; ensure you protect them from strong players. Believe me, losing troops hurts so much. I will share some tips to help you save your troops.
- Unlock Enlistment Office
- Increase Infantry capacity and Healing Speed
- Never Engage Strong Players
- Never attack Players With the Same Level As You
- Avoid Joining Weak Rallies
Unlock Enlistment Office
When you reach Furnace Level 11, you will unlock the enlistment office. Enlistment offices help you recover troops. In case you lose troops because of the full capacity of the infirmary when you have many severely injured troops.
You can enlist troops in the enlistment office, which will help you regain power as soon as possible, and you can collect loyalty points while gathering and completing daily tasks.
Increase Infantry Capacity And Healing Speed
This is an important upgrade if you don’t want to lose troops. Make sure you increase the infirmary capacity and healing speed by upgrading it and researching in the research center.
Never Engage a Strong Player
Never engage strong players, and always shield up whenever they try to attack you. If a strong player teleports next to you, randomly teleport as soon as possible because he will launch all six queues on you.
Never Attack Player With Same Level As You
Players with the same power level as you will not lose against you if you attack them because of their troop counts. Even if you are slightly stronger, you will still not win an attack on their city because of the difference in troop numbers. Your rally will need more troops to win an attack against a player with the same power level as you.
If the same level player attacks your city, they will surely lose; ensure you have a lot of troops, almost 400K – 600K troops.
And to defend against strong players, make sure you have a lot of troops, at least 900K+. Don’t go into unreasonable fights.
Even if you attack someone and his alliance members, reinforce him/her, then decide to either recall troops or speed up the troops to reach before reinforcement; for this purpose, I have written a blog post to use recall and speed up items and the best way to use them.
Avoid Joining Weak Rallies
If a player starts a rally to attack, is a weak player, and calls a rally against a strong player, don’t join; he will probably lose because of a low state bonus and rally capacity.
