Hero gears are very important items in Whiteout survival and you must learn about hero gears to upgrade them effectively. This guide will help you understand the types of hero gears and upgrade material required for each type of hero gear, and most importantly, I will also add tables to help you understand the upgrade requirements.
There are 3 types of hero gears: Exclusive hero gears, Mythic Hero gears, and Low-quality hero gears. Exclusive and mythic hero gears require special upgrade materials only exclusive to them; for example, exclusive hero gear requires widgets for the upgrade, and mythic hero gear requires essence stones for the upgrade.
Types Of Hero Gears In Whiteout Survival
There are 3 types of hero gears that are upgraded using the different upgrade materials
1. Exclusive Hero Gears (Table)
Exclusive Hero Gears are only exclusive to SSR heroes, which adds extra power to SSR heroes, and that is why SSR heroes are extremely powerful. Remember that whenever next season’s hero unlocks, it will be more powerful than the previous season’s heroes.
When you unlock the weapon with gear widgets, it adds extra bonuses and power to the hero, and then you can level up the gears with more widgets.
Exclusive Hero Gear Upgrade Material
Widgets (upgrade material) are essential for upgrading the Exclusive Hero Gear. Starting with five widgets to unlock the gear, you need a total of 275 widgets to reach the maximum level of 10.
Each upgrade requires an increasing number of widgets, enhancing your hero’s abilities and unlocking new skills.

Importance Of Upgrading
Upgrading these exclusive hero gears is very important. It would be best if you focused on upgrading exclusive gears more than any other gears because of the importance and power they add to SSR heroes.
It improves their base stats and grants them powerful special skills, significantly impacting their strategy and success in the game.
2. Mythic Hero Gears (Table)

Mythic Hero Gears are rare and very important for maximum power for all heroes; these mythic hero gears are not exclusive to any hero and can be used with any hero. Mythic hero gear also gets its exclusive upgrade material essence stone.
At the beginning of the game, due to its rarity, I was worried that I would not get enough of them to compete against other players but believe me, it is easier to get many mythic gears quickly. I have mentioned my strategy below to help you.

Upgrade Materials For Mythic Hero Gears
Mythic hero gears require many upgrade materials, and there is only 1 upgrade material (essence stones) exclusive to mythic gears that can only be used to upgrade mythic gears.
Essence Stones (Mastery Forging Process)
Once your Furnace is upgraded to level 20, it unlocks “Mastery Forging,” allowing you to upgrade mythic hero gears using essence stones.

- Mythic Hero Gear Levels 1-10: Only Essence Stones are required for Mastery Forging for these initial levels.

Upgrading Using Lower-Quality Hero Gears
Mythic gears can be upgraded by consuming lower-quality gears (Epic, Rare, Uncommon, and Common).
